Carl Avery Benton, CFA

Carl Benton is Director of Business Development for Glenmore Advisors, LLC and leads the new business relationship efforts and client account management for the firm's wealth advisory business. Carl is also a member of Glenmore's Management Committee and the Investment Strategy Team.
Carl has over 30 years of experience in the capital markets and in serving the needs of ultra-affluent families and family offices. Carl's recent experience includes working with Acartha Partners Family Office where he was a Partner and Director of Client Relations. Previously, Carl served as Senior Vice President and Resident Investment Officer for U.S. Trust in Naples, FL overseeing collective assets in excess of $950 million for approximately 50 families. Carl worked closely with the firm's foundation, endowment and family office clientele. He has also served in senior capacities with Scudder, Stevens and Clark , The Southern Fiduciary Group and Wealthtrust.
Carl earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Vanderbilt University. He also attended the University of Florida College of Law. Carl is a member of the prestigious Private Client Marketing Roundtable. In 1990, he became a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) through the CFA Institute.

Scott Calhoun CPA, CFP®, CIMA®, PFS

CHIEF COMPLIANCE OFFICER,
As Executive Vice President of Glenmore Advisors and Director of Wealth Management Services for Gleneagles Group, Scott is responsible for the oversight, delivery, and integration of all estate and financial planning services.
Scott has over 18 years in the family office arena. His experience includes Convergent Wealth Advisors in Atlanta and the Synovus Family Asset Management group in Columbus, Georgia. He previously worked with Coopers & Lybrand, LLP, and KPMG, LLP.
Scott earned a B.A. in business administration and a Masters degree in accounting (tax) from the University of Georgia. He also completed the IMCA Certified Investment Management Analyst Program at The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He served in the United States Marine Corps in various postings around the world. Scott and his family reside in Marietta, Georgia.
William deButts III CIMA®
CEO, GLENMORE ADVISORS
William is CEO of Glenmore Advisors and CIO of Gleneagles Group. He specializes in the family office market, structuring comprehensive investment and wealth management strategies for individuals, families, and foundations.
His background includes Convergent Wealth Advisors, where he established the first regional office in Atlanta in 2001. He was an equity owner and served on the firm's investment committee. William served as vice president with Morgan Stanley & Co. Private Wealth Management, where he helped to establish the firm's regional office, in Atlanta.
William earned a B.A. degree, cum laude, in managerial economics from Hampden-Sydney College and an MBA in finance and accounting from Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management. He completed the Alternative Investments Certificate program at The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He resides with his family in Atlanta, Georgia.
Marcus Griffin II, CFA
CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER, GLENMORE ADVISORS
Marcus is the Chief Investment Officer of Glenmore Advisors and Gleneagles Group. He is responsible for leading the investment research efforts for both firms. These efforts include global macro-economic analysis; manager due diligence and selection; and development of investment solutions.
He has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. His recent experience includes 7 years with GenSpring Family Offices where he served as Investment Officer for his families as well as the Director of Macro Research for the firm. Prior to GenSpring, Marcus co-managed multi-billion dollar equity portfolios for INVESCO and Bank of America.
Marcus earned his B.S. degree in business administration from Wake Forest University. In 1994, he became a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) through the CFA Institute. Marcus resides with his family in Mableton, Georgia.
DIRECTOR, GLENMORE ADVISORS
Stephen is focused on portfolio analysis, asset allocation, performance reporting, and technology platforms.
While obtaining his MBA, Stephen served as an intern on the equity analyst team at Decatur Capital Management in Atlanta, providing buy, sell, or hold recommendations to the portfolio management team. As senior financial analyst at The Home Depot, he managed a $131M budget for more than 200 IT professionals. Stephen brings additional experience from posts at World Satellite Network in Austin, Texas, liaising with board members, investors, and staff as a financial interpreter.
He holds his MBA with a concentration in finance from Georgia State University. He earned a B.A. in economics from the University of North Texas and has completed coursework in corporate finance and security analysis at The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Stephen is a native of Atlanta, Georgia.
Mary Kennon Woodson
As Operations Associate at Glenmore Advisors, Mary Kennon is responsible for the daily operational activities of the firm and serves as an intermediary between Operations and top management. Ms. Woodson is responsible for establishing, contributing, and implementing ideas for improving the structure and efficiency of the operations department processes, procedures, and protocols. Ms. Woodson directs the account document preparation requirements for all newly established accounts as well as all ongoing account maintenance. In addition, Ms. Woodson is responsible for completing alternative (i.e. hedge fund and private equity) subscription documents for Glenmore clients. Mary Kennon maintains the daily interactions and communications with the firm's clientele.
Mary Kennon graduated from Sewanee: The University of the South with a B.A. in Economics. While attending the university, she was elected Vice-Chair of the Honor Council and earned a McCabe Merit Scholarship from the Society of the Cincinnati for her leadership abilities.
